A Study on Medical English Education of China

There is a paucity of research about the Medical English (ME) education in China. This study aims to give suggestions on improving quality medical China by investigating current needs students and situation teaching. The was conducted during second semester 2020-2021 academic year at Chongqing University, A total 260 were surveyed with Needs Analysis Questionnaire (NAMEQ). Simultaneously, interviews carried out further enrich research. SPSS version 25.0 implemented conduct independent T-test Chi-square test. Descriptive analysis used quantify responses summarize variables. All statistical analyses performed significance level 5%.The subjects background had various interests willing spend time it. About 99.3% agreed importance ME for their future work. Up 92% them wanted improve reading ability 73% want learn lexicology. Limited learning periods, irrational orders curriculum arrangements insufficient practice reflected process. Ample systemic teaching materials including textbooks, auxiliary urgently needed. Based research, feasible proposed aspects students’ inner motivations, arrangements, adjustments so forth, which are conducive modifications contents methods ME.
